At Care UK's Ancasta Grove in Sarisbury Green, Southampton, providing the highest standard of care for residents is at the heart of what we do. As part of our friendly team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career and the support to go far.
Our team works in a purpose-built care home in beautiful surroundings. We provide residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis with fantastic facilities for residents, including a cinema, cafe and hair salon, as well as beautiful landscaped gardens.
We truly believe that every one of us makes a difference. If you're a passionate, caring individual who works well in a team, consider a rewarding career at Ancasta Grove.
Join our team and you'll have the chance to get creative in the kitchen while cooking up nutritious, well-balanced meals that have a direct impact on residents’ health and wellbeing.
Many catering colleagues join us from restaurants or hotels where they’re used to working long hours late into the night. In a care home, you’ll work more sociable hours, and you’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships by getting to know residents and their tastes and preferences. This is a role where you can really make a difference.

As a colleague at Care UK, we believe it’s important that you know what you can expect from your manager to ensure people are fairly treated and properly recognised from day one. Our People Promise sets out clearly what you can expect from your manager and Care UK.
A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.
As Home Manager, my role is to deliver consistently high levels of care. I also think it is important to make sure colleagues feel heard and valued.
I have varied experience and qualifications including a degree in maths and statistics, expertise in financial modelling streams and I’m a registered nurse. As home manager I get to put all my skills and knowledge to good use every day.
In my role, you need to be passionate about caring. You also have to be friendly and genuinely enjoy being with people and working as part of a team. Care UK’s values: Caring, Passionate and Teamwork underpin everything we do. Care UK is also an organisation that encourages career growth, and for me, working for the most awarded care home provider is a real career highlight. As author Tia Walker says: “To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours.”
One of my favourite parts of the day is the time I spend with residents, their families and colleagues – and anyone else who pops in for a chat. Everyone has a story, and I love listening and finding out more about people.
In my free time, I adore exploring the seaside and travelling. I also enjoy taking walks and being with my family.
