Given the very early stage that the proposals are currently at, current residents, their relatives, and Care UK colleagues at Cumberland are not expected to be affected by these redevelopment proposals until at least 2024.
Should planning permission be granted, a decision will then be made on the future of the home. Further engagement will then be undertaken with residents and their relatives, as well as Care UK colleagues, to ensure that any decisions on the future of the home are fully communicated to all those affected, with all available options fully explained.
Any residents, relatives or colleagues who may wish to raise any concerns or queries are encouraged to speak to the home manager, Portia Nleya, who can be contacted by phoning 020 3944 0484.
Care UK will be holding meetings for residents, their families, and colleagues to attend and remain committed to ensuring they are involved throughout the planning process.
Should planning permission be granted, and should Care UK decide to undertake the redevelopment, it is committed to fully supporting colleagues, residents, and their families throughout the transition period.
