Terms and Conditions

A £1,000 fee discount is offered for each new referral made by a resident, or a member of their family, at a qualifying home. This offer is only available at selected homes and is subject to assessment and availability in the required care type - if in doubt, please contact the home's Director of Customer Relations or Home Admissions Advisor for more information regarding this offer.

Referrals become valid once the person introduced has been a permanent resident for 90 days (shorter respite stays not eligible).

The following details the terms and conditions of the £1,000 fee discount entitlement:

  • Only the resident can benefit. Only the resident is entitled to the discount. No one else is, including family or friend of the resident, even if they are the effective source of a referral.

What is a Successful Referral?

A successful referral occurs when, as a result of a recommendation by a resident of one of the Qualifying Homes, or a family member or friend of that resident, someone new to us enters into a permanent private pay residency contract with us at a Qualifying Home.

A permanent residency contract is one intended to last for at least 90 days. Any residency contract intended to last less than 90 days such as a respite contract is not a permanent residency contract and would not qualify for a £1,000 fee discount.

The admission of new resident who is admitted to a Qualifying Home with CCG or local authority funding would not qualify for a £1,000 fee discount.

Someone who is already a resident at one of the Qualifying Homes or who for themselves or through their own family or friends has previously contacted us about becoming a resident at a Qualifying Home before any referral is made would not be new to us and would not qualify for a £1,000 fee discount.

There is no limit on the number of referrals that can be made. Each successful referral which fulfils the £1,000 fee discount conditions will result in a £1,000 fee discount.

Other Conditions

The £1,000 fee discount entitlement is subject to the following conditions:

  • It is only available to privately funded residents.
  • For the fee discounts to be payable, the referring resident must make the home's management at community level aware of the referral prior to the referee becoming a resident.
  • If a new resident leaves the Qualifying Home permanently within 90 days of being admitted (including because of their death), the £1,000 fee discount will be adjusted proportionally to reflect the length of their residency.
  • Discounts on the resident’s account will be made once the referred party has been a permanent resident for 90 days and their account must be up to date in order for them to receive their fee deduction.
  • The fee discount entitlement is not payable if at the time it falls due, the resident’s account with us is in arrears, but in our entire, unfettered discretion, we may waive this condition.

Application of the fee discount

Provided the above conditions have been fulfilled, the fee discount will be credited to the resident’s account with us 90 days after the new resident was admitted.

NOTE - we reserve the right to withdraw this offer with immediate effect.
