Kidderminster care home organises treat for blue light workers

A care home in Kidderminster is giving blue light workers a tasty treat to collect on their way to their vital jobs.

The team at Care UK’s Brook Court, on Oldnall Road, is giving out free take-away breakfasts for those in the community as a small token of thanks for their hard work.

Blue light workers are encouraged to order their breakfast, which will be available for collection on Saturday 28th October, from 8am-10am, which the team is organising as a treat to brighten their day on their way to work or way back from night shifts.

The head chef at Brook Court is creating egg, bacon, sausage, and vegan breakfast baps to give out to those who play vital roles in the community, from local police officers to those working in the fire service.

As part of this initiative to give back to blue light workers, the home will be hosting these special breakfast treats every fortnight from the end of October.

Paul Chambers, Customer Relations Manager at Brook Court, said: “The difference that blue light workers make in the community is invaluable, and so we wanted to do something special to show our appreciation.

“Here at Brook Court, we love being able to give back to the community in any way we can and we thought what better way to say thank you to those working in blue light roles than a tasty breakfast treat as they head home from a night shift, or as they embark on another busy day.

“The whole team are very much looking forward to welcoming the local community to the home and can’t wait to thank blue light workers for all their efforts.

“If you are a blue light worker, please phone the home to order a breakfast on us!”

Brook Court is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
