Care home searches for Thame’s local heroes

Home news

A new care home in Thame is asking the community to nominate local heroes to win a cash prize.

Care UK’s Cuttlebrook Hall, on Stock Road, which opened its doors earlier this month, is searching for local people or organisations who go above and beyond for their community, friends or family, and have a positive impact on the local area.

The worthy winner of the competition will receive £300 and be presented with the funds at the care home during its grand launch event in December.

Carolann Hinson, Home Manager at Cuttlebrook Hall, added: “Everyone has an unsung hero in their life – the person who organises everything, is always there for whoever needs them and never shies away from lending a helping hand.

“Here at Cuttlebrook Hall, we want to say thank you to those people who consistently go above and beyond – whether they’re a volunteer at a local charity, a leader at a community group or simply a friend who always goes the extra mile.

“We’re inviting you to share your story, so we can say thank you with a well-deserved treat - we can’t wait to read all of your heart-warming stories!”

To nominate your local hero, visit the local hero competition page before 11:59pm on Friday 10th November 2023 and explain in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.

Cuttlebrook Hall is a state-of the-art care home which provides full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the home has its very own cinema, hair salon and café and there is plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
