A care home in Haverhill hit the right note when they welcomed the community for a very special event.
The team at Care UK’s Cleves Place, on Millfields Way, were joined by local people for an afternoon disco to celebrate the CQC (Care Quality Commission) naming the home ‘outstanding’ for the second time.
Guests got their boogie on and let loose to groovy tunes and classic hits from across the decades, thanks to a special live performance from residents’ favourite local entertainer, Richard Linton.
With a donut wall and vintage sweet cart on hand, guests enjoyed sweet treats throughout the day. There was also an awards ceremony, where team members were presented with their ‘outstanding’ badges in celebration of the home retaining its top rating.
Visitors were also treated to a traditional afternoon tea, as well as a glass of bubbly, specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.
Mr Robert Bramhald, a resident at Cleves Place, said: “What a smashing day, everything was perfect! The decorations, food and the music – we are so lucky.”
Clare Mooney, Home Manager at Cleves Place, said: “We had a fantastic afternoon opening our doors to relatives, friends and neighbours to celebrate our team’s fantastic achievement.
“Our special event offered a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the local people of Haverhill and show them what life at Cleves Place is all about. The team is incredibly passionate about offering the highest quality of care for residents, and they work hard to make a positive difference each and every day. We loved getting our dancing shoes on and giving everyone a chance to showcase their best moves at our afternoon disco.
“It was a brilliant day for everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing our ‘outstanding’ streak and partying with friends and families for many more years to come!”
