A care home in Kidderminster transported the local community back to the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll at a very special event.
The team at Care UK’s Brook Court, on Oldnall Road, were joined by the people of Kidderminster for their rocking summer festival.
With live music from local musician ‘Tom the Entertainer’ and a traditional summer barbecue, the atmosphere was filled with energy and excitement. Guests put on their dancing shoes and let loose to the timeless rhythms of the era.
Peter Evans, a resident at Brook Court, said: “It was a very welcoming atmosphere and I enjoyed myself very much!”
Shirley Gibbs, Home Manager at Brook Court, said: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our summer festival where we rock ‘n’ rolled the afternoon away with a host of exciting family-friendly activities.
“Our Rock 'n' Roll Festival offered a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational interaction, as families, friends, and neighbours came together to enjoy the festivities. Children showcased their dance moves alongside residents, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity across all age groups. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to witness the vibrant and active lifestyle enjoyed by residents at Brook Court.
“We’re already planning our next summer event so keep your eyes peeled – set to be a summer to remember!”
