Mobberley care home hosts ultimate summer festival for the local community

Home news

A care home in Mobberley opened its doors to the local community for a very special musical event.

Resident and team members at Care UK’s Cranford Grange, on Hall Lane, proved there’s no business like show business as they welcomed the people of Mobberley for their brand-new music festival Cranfest Music Festival.

The fun-filled festival came as Cranford Grange celebrated Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like.

Guests were entertained throughout the day by host, Paul Pinto, who kept everyone entertained as he introduced a number of performers, including local entertainer, Joe Coax, who performed classic summer time songs. Joining the line-up was fellow entertainer, Geoff Stacks, who performed resident’s favourite tunes, and Steve Ramsbottom who performed on the home’s grand piano.

Keen to end the night on a rock and roll high, the festival ended with a medley from over 60 chorister members of Knutsford Rock Choir.

Guests were treated to a traditional barbecue prepared by the home’s Head Chef, alongside a chocolate fountain, Pimms, and cocktails from the home’s very own Tikki bar.

Lisa Burrows, General Manager at Cranford Grange, said: “We were delighted to have welcomed the local community, friends and families to join in our music festival celebrations here at Cranford Grange.

“The festival was the perfect opportunity to get together with loved ones and enjoy a celebration of live music. Many residents at Cranford Grange have fond memories of attending festivals and watching live music in their younger years, and this event encouraged them to look back and relive these happy times with their younger generations.

“We’re already planning our next summer event so keep your eyes peeled!”
