Local care home opens its doors following £1.7m renovation

A newly refurbished care home in Salisbury is inviting the local community to attend its grand launch. 

On Thursday 20th July, from 12pm-4pm, local people are invited to visit Care UK’s Salisbury Manor, on Shapland Close, to join in the celebrations alongside the Mayor of Salisbury, Atiqul Hoque, who will be officially re-opening the home.

The home has recently undergone a £1.7m renovation which included the complete redecoration of all communal areas including new dining rooms. The home’s suites have been reconfigured to enable residents living with dementia to enjoy a safe outside space, and large specialist rooms have been constructed for residents requiring end of life care to allow families to stay.

With the residents having moved into Salisbury Manor in late June everyone at the home is gearing up to mark its official opening – with a little help from a special guest.  

Atiqul Hoque, Mayor of Salisbury, will be cutting the ribbon to officially open the care home.

The special event will see guests invited to dance along to live entertainment including a barn dance – sure to get the party started.

Visitors will also be treated to a traditional summer barbecue, specially prepared by the home’s talented head chef.

Those who attend the event will also have the chance to meet the team at Salisbury Manor and take a tour of the care home.
