A care home in Worcester hit the right note when they welcomed the local community to join them for a very special event.
The team at Care UK’s Perry Manor, on Charles Hastings Way, were joined by local people for their GlastonPerry Festival.
Guests put on their dancing shoes and let loose to the classic hits from across the decades thanks to special live performances from a host of headliners.
Bernie and his acoustic guitar opened the festival, followed by an impressive ukulele band performance, which got everyone in the party spirit. Next up was Phoebe of Silver Bells, followed by main headliner, Ruby Hudson, who took centre stage to close the festival in style.
Guests got into the festival spirit with a glitter station and a face painter, which provided everyone with awe-inducing make-up.
The fun-filled festival formed part of Perry Manor’s Care Home Open Week celebrations, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like.
Greta, a resident at Perry Manor, said: “It was a wonderful day that I could share with my daughter and son-in-law who came for the festival. You can't beat live music.”
Katherine Matthews, Home Manager at Perry Manor, added: “We were delighted to welcome the community to our summer festival to party the afternoon away.
“Our special event offered a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community and show them what life at Perry Manor is all about. We loved getting our dancing shoes on and giving everyone a chance to showcase their best moves at our GlastonPerry Festival.
“We’re already planning our next summer event so keep your eyes peeled – it’s set to be a summer to remember!”
