Care UK teams are delighted to have been shortlisted in three different categories at the upcoming Nursing Times Awards.
These prestigious awards bring together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent in the profession and recognise those making nursing innovative, patient-focused and inclusive.
The three shortlisted categories include the Ann Shuttleworth Rising Star Award, the Nursing in Social Care Award and the award for Team of the Year.
Esievo Atete, the Clinical Lead at Carpathia Grange has been shortlisted for the Ann Shuttleworth Rising Star Award. Esievo joined Care UK in 2019 as a pre-registration nurse from overseas and has shown a natural sense of leadership and an ambition to improve the service at Carpathia Grange in any way he can. Care UK’s work on the Hearwell project is up for the Nursing in Social Care Award. A partnership with the Queen’s Nursing Institute and Tympa Health supported a research project to identify and treat reversible hearing loss and included audiology training and the use of specialist equipment.
The final shortlisting goes to Weald Heights for Team of the Year. The team at Weald Heights has a vision to provide excellent nursing care right to the end of residents’ lives. They are a champion for end-of-life care both in their local community and within Care UK itself.
Care UK colleagues have to wait until Wednesday 25th October 2023 to find out if they have been successful in bringing home the winners’ trophies from the Nursing Times Awards ceremony, which is being held in London.
