Bales of fun! Ware care home hosts ultimate summer festival

A care home in Ware transported the local community all the way to the wild west with their special event. 

The team at Care UK’s Snowdrop House, on Baldock Street, were joined by the people of Ware for the home’s very own barn dance festival.

Guests put their best foot forward with a line dancing lesson from seasoned pro, Alan, dancing along to a range of catchy folk songs in true party style. To get into the party spirit, the team decorated the home with bunting, hay bales and cacti homemade by the residents.

Partygoers were also treated to a delicious barbecue, specially made by the home’s talented head chef.

Clare Crow, Home Manager at Snowdrop House, commented: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our very own barn dance – it certainly felt like we’d brought the wild west to Ware!

“Our festival offered a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational interaction, as families, friends, and neighbours came together to enjoy the festivities. Children showcased their dance moves alongside residents, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity across all age groups. Our special event was a wonderful opportunity for the community to see the vibrant and active lifestyle enjoyed by residents at Snowdrop House.
