A new festival is coming to Stroud – and you won’t believe where it’s taking place.
On Saturday 1st July, from 2pm-7pm, Care UK’s Scarlet House, on Westward Road, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people for its very own summer music festival.
The fun-filled festival comes as Scarlet House celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like.
The special event will see guests invited to dance along to live entertainment from The Jolly Jukebox who will be singing a range of classics from the 1950s, 60s and 70s – sure to get the party started.
There will also be an aerial show from the talented Fire Flyers and a silent disco, giving everyone the opportunity to show off their best moves to their favourite tunes.
Visitors will also be treated to a delicious summer barbecue specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.
Lyndsey Dixon, Home Manager at Scarlet House, commented: “We’re delighted to be welcoming the local community to join our summer festival celebrations here at Scarlet House.
“Care Home Open Week offers the perfect opportunity to get together with loved ones and enjoy a celebration of live music. Many residents at Scarlet House have fond memories of watching live music and attending festivals in their younger years, and this event will encourage them to look back and relive those happy times.
“We have many music lovers here at Scarlet House, and we’re really excited to ring in summer in style with our first ever festival. We can’t wait to strike a chord with residents and the wider community!
