Let the good vibes roll! Stowmarket care home invites local community to a festival to remember

A new festival is coming to Stowmarket – and you won’t believe where it’s taking place.  

On Saturday 8^th July 2023 from 2pm-4pm, Care UK’s Cedrus House, on Bittern Crescent, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people for its Swinging Sixties Festival. 

The fun-filled festival comes as Cedrus House celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like. 

The special event will see guests invited to dance along to hits from the swinging sixties – sure to get the party started.

Visitors will be treated to 1960s-inspired dishes, including vol-au-cents, trifle, Swiss roll, fondue and peach melba, all specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.

There will be an ice cream van on hand for everyone to enjoy a scoop or two, and donuts and candy floss for those with a sweet tooth.
