Let the good vibes roll! Leamington Spa care home invites local community to a festival to remember

A new festival is coming to Leamington Spa – and you won’t believe where it’s taking place.  

On Monday 26^th June, from 11am-4pm, Care UK’s Priors House, on Old Milverton Lane, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people to visit the brand-new Summer Festival.

The fun-filled festival comes as Priors House celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like. 

The special event will see guests invited to dance along to live entertainment from local singer, David Sanders, who will be performing classic hits from across the 40s and 50s – sure to get the party started.

There will also be a tombola where visitors can try their luck to win a host of prizes, as well as visit a variety of stalls, including a local honey stall and crafts stall.

Visitors will also be treated to a traditional summer barbecue, specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.

“For older people, reminiscing about nostalgic events, including festivals and watching live music, can help bring back happy memories, as well as prompting conversation and connection with those around them. For those living with dementia, these positive feelings gained from revisiting fond memories can help decrease stress, reduce agitation, and improve mood too.
