A care home in Chester is inviting local people for a day of family-friendly summer fun.
On Saturday 10th June, from 11am-4pm, the team at Care UK’s Deewater Grange, on Chester Road, is opening its doors to welcome the people of Chester to a summer festival.
There will be a special visit from Boo’s Mobile Zoo and residents and guests will welcome a host of furry friends into the home, including meerkats, tortoises, lizards and even skunks – and get the chance to meet them up close.
Joining in the summer fun will be a special four-legged friend – and younger visitors will have the opportunity to buckle up, put their cowboy hats on and ride a pony.
There will also be a tombola, where visitors can try their luck to win a host of prizes, plus a bouncy castle, and a face painter on hand to keep younger visitors entertained.
Those visiting will also be able to take a tour around Deewater Grange and see exactly what life is like at the home.
Sally Cooper, Home Manager at Deewater Grange, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important part of life at Deewater Grange, and hosting our summer festival provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Chester into our home.
“We are thrilled to be able to be able to open our doors to the local community and celebrate summer together in style. Everyone is very excited to have family, neighbours and four-legged friends joining us for a spectacular day of family-fun.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming local people for our summer festival – trust us, you won’t want to miss this.”
