A care home in Bromsgrove welcomed several b-ewe-tiful furry friends into the home.
Residents at Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, were delighted when lambs Tilly and Milly sprang into the home.
Residents were able to interact with the baby lambs, brought in by team member Debbie, while learning more about their woolly new friends and the lambing season, prompting them to reminisce about their own experiences with animals in their younger years.
86-year-old resident, Joan Whitton, said: “I loved spending time with the lambs – they were adorable and soft. It reminded me of when I used to take my dog on country sidewalks and would hear the lambs bleating.”
Dorothy Pye, Interim Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “Here at Chandler Court, we’re always looking for exciting activities to put a smile on residents’ faces.
“Animals are a fantastic way of improving relaxation and wellbeing in older people. The residents loved meeting the baby lambs and having them visit was a great way of prompting social interaction, as residents shared happy memories with each other.
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to Debbie, and Tilly and Milly, for a baaa-rilliant day!”
