Bromsgrove care home invites local people to a right royal knees up

A care home in Bromsgrove is opening its doors to the local community for a street party fit for a king to mark the upcoming royal coronation.

On Tuesday 2^nd May, from 1pm-5pm, Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass of bubbly to King Charles. 

The fun-filled street party will ensure guests receive the royal treatment, with live entertainment from the D-day Dollies, who will be performing classic tunes throughout the event – sure to get everyone in the party spirit. 

 Visitors will be treated to a quintessentially British coronation-themed spread, whipped up by the home’s head chef, as well as an ice cream van for all to enjoy.  

The care team will also be hosting their very own ‘royal bake-off’ competition, where chefs will be able to compete for the title of star baker. Residents are set to don their expert judging hats and put their cake tasting skills to the test to decide who will take home the crown for the best coronation-themed cake.

Celebrating in true British style, the home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready.
