A care home in Shinfield is inviting the local community to a free event designed to provide support and practical advice for families caring for those with dementia.
On Tuesday 14th March, from 2pm-4pm, the Care UK team at Parsons Grange, on Westall Street, will open the doors to the care home for its free Recognising and Responding to Dementia Symptoms event.
In this session, the Care UK dementia specialists will give an overview of typical ageing and how symptoms differ from dementia. They will explore the signs of dementia, and the differences between the three most common types of the condition.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend the event will also have the chance to meet the team at Parsons Grange and take a tour of the care home.
Rozina Ali, Home Manager at Parsons Grange, said: “At Parsons Grange, we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones living with dementia. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we look forward to inviting members of the local community to our Recognising and Responding to Dementia Symptoms event.
“Previous events have proven to be incredibly popular, and we hope the local community will find this event interesting and informative.”
