A jolly good time! Harrow care home welcomes local choir for a festive sing-along

A care home in Harrow was delighted to welcome a local choir for a Christmas sing-along ahead of the big day. 

Residents and team members at Care UK’s Buchanan Court, on Sudbury Hill, welcomed Olly Trinity Group Choir into their lounge for a special sing-along. 

 

Residents watched from the comfort of the home’s lounge and sang along as the choir performed classic carols, including ‘O come, All ye Faithful’. To accompany their Christmas carols, the choir also performed a host of hymns in Father Christmas hats – much to the resident’s surprise and enjoyment.

Commenting on the children’s choir, resident Mary Cusick said: ‘What a wonderful surprise, they did a lovely job and a merry Christmas to you all’.

Esther Oluwatosin Adams, Home Manager at Buchanan Court, said: “We had a wonderful time singing along to our favourite carols, excellently performed by Olly Trinity Group Choir.  

“It was wonderful to see the smiles on the residents’ faces as the pupils arrived in their Father Christmas hats and began singing. Residents enjoyed the singing from the comfort of inside – with a mince pie or two for added festive cheer!

“On behalf of all the residents and team members at Buchanan Court, we want to say a big thank you to Olly Trinity Group Choir, and look forward to inviting them back again in the new year once restrictions allow.”
