It’s going to be a hoot – Sale care home hosts summer open day

A care home in Sale is inviting the local community to its exciting summer open day.

On Friday 12th August from 12 - 4pm, the team at Care UK’s Oakfield Croft, on Oakfield, will welcome the people of Sale for a day of summer fun.

Residents and visitors will be able to celebrate the summer in style and meet all kinds of weird and wonderful animals in the home’s garden, brought by Boo Mobile Zoo.

Guests will also be treated to a barbecue, specially prepared by the home’s chef and invited to tap their feet along to live music from Deborah McCormick, who will sing some of the residents’ favourites.

Those visiting will also get the chance to take a tour around Oakfield Croft and take a look at the range of amenities available.

Daniel Cole, Home Manager at Oakfield Croft, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with the community is a valuable part of life at Oakfield Croft. Hosting this summer open day provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Sale into our home.

“It is set to be a great event, and the residents and the team here at Oakfield Croft are all looking forward to welcoming our Sale neighbours for a day of family-friendly fun.”

Oakfield Croft has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilling lives, while also promoting independence. The new care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building is configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities, as well as facilities like a cinema, coffee shop and hair salon.
