A care home in Sidcup is inviting local people to join a free online event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.
On Thursday 14th July, from 11am-12pm, the Care UK team at Smyth Lodge, on Frognal Avenue, will be hosting a free ‘Paying for care’ webinar.
Nicky Cave, an accredited care funding specialist from Eldercare group, will be on hand to deliver an informative session to help those caring for a loved one understand the options for funding long-term care. The session will include how the care funding system works, and what state assistance may be available.
Tracey Cheeseman, Home Manager at Smyth Lodge, said: “There are many options available to anyone considering the future care of a loved one, which can be overwhelming. Here at Smyth Lodge, we understand that providing advice and guidance can be incredibly helpful, which is why we are delighted to host this virtual event.
“It is a privilege to be joined by Nicky, who can provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take this opportunity to benefit from her expertise.”
For anyone unsure about how to take part in the virtual event, help is at hand. The team at Smyth Lodge will host the event using Zoom, an online meeting space. Simply call or email Customer Relations Manager, Francois Erwee, and she will send a link to join the event and share her tips to make the most out of the session.
