A care home in Horndean is giving frontline workers a tasty treat as they take a small break from their vital jobs.
The team at Care UK’s Pear Tree Court, on Portsmouth Road, is giving out free take-away pizza for those in the community as a small token of thanks for their hard work.
Frontline workers are encouraged to order their slice of pizza and then come along to the care home’s front door on Thursday 12th May between 1pm-3pm to pick up a slice pizza – which the team is organising as a treat to brighten their lunch break.
The home team are giving out pizza slices to those who have played vital roles throughout the pandemic, from local nurses and healthcare workers to Police Officers.
Niki Richards, Home Manager at Pear Tree Court, said: “Our pizza giveaway provides us with an excellent opportunity to do something nice for members of the community who continue to work in frontline roles, and have done throughout the pandemic.
“The whole team are very much looking forward to welcoming the local community to the home’s front door and can’t wait to thank keyworkers for all their efforts.
“If you are a frontline worker please phone the home to order a slice of pizza on us and pick up a slice on the Thursday 12th May.”
