Funding care explained – Chester care home hosts free advice event

A care home in Chester is inviting local people to join a free online event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.

On Thursday 28th January, from 2pm-3pm, the Care UK team at Deewater Grange care home, on Chester Road, will be hosting a free ‘Paying for care’ webinar.

Nicky Cave, an accredited care funding specialist from Eldercare group, will be on hand to deliver an informative session to help those caring for a loved one understand the options for funding long-term care, including how the care funding system works, and what state assistance may be available.

Sally Cooper, Home Manager at Deewater Grange, said: “There are many options available to anyone considering the future care of a loved one, which can be overwhelming. Here at Deewater Grange, we understand that providing advice and guidance can be incredibly helpful, which is why we are delighted to host this virtual event.

“It is a privilege to be joined by Nicky, who can provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take this opportunity to benefit from her expertise.”

For anyone unsure about how to take part in the virtual event, help is at hand. The team at Deewater Grange will host the event using Zoom, an online meeting space. Simply call or email Customer Relations Manager, Donna Brown, and she will send a link to join the event and share her tips to make the most out of the session.
