A Stroud care home has pulled together a very special themed Christmas display.
The team at Care UK’s Scarlet House care home, on Westward Road, is taking residents to Narnia for the festive season.
To celebrate Christmas in style, the home has created a special display in honour of C.S. Lewis’ most famous series of books, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’. Residents are now able to walk through a wardrobe full of coats to access a ‘snowy’ area, featuring trees and the famous lamp post, complete with the home’s very own snow machine.
Vlad Nastasa, Home Manager at Scarlet House, said: “The Chronicles of Narnia books are a literary monument, and many residents remember reading them in their younger years, often with their own children, and grandchildren, when they were growing up.
“After such a challenging year, we wanted to do something really special for the residents, and a magical trip to Narnia seemed like perfect way to celebrate the festive season. The whole team has worked really hard to pull together the display, and everyone was thrilled with the result.
“On behalf of the team at Scarlet House, I’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.”
