A Banbury care home is supporting a local charity through the festive period.
Care UK’s Highmarket House, on North Bar Place, has collected over 23 Christmas presents to be donated to the Banbury Youth Homeless Project.
The charity had appealed for gifts which will be donated to local families during the festive season. The home’s contribution includes presents for children and adults alike, which were all donated by team members and relatives.
Jo Pohl, Home Manager at Highmarket House, added: “Christmas is a time for giving and we know that it has been an incredibly challenging year for many local families, and while we look forward to the festive season, others aren’t quite as lucky – which is why we wanted to provide our support for this wonderful initiative.
“The Banbury Youth Homeless Project provides vital support for people in the community throughout the year and organises a host of fundraising initiatives. We’re delighted to be doing our part for the Banbury community and hope our presents will make a difference to families who receive them. On behalf of everyone at Highmarket House, I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.”
