New leadership team takes the helm at Huntington care home

New leadership team takes the helm at Huntington care homeA new care home in Huntington has appointed several members of the local community for its senior team.

Sally Cooper, home manager at the new Deewater Grange care home on Chester Road, has recruited a senior team with a wealth of experience. This includes Shawn Creswell, lifestyle coordinator; Donna Brown, customer relations manager; Tracey Chrimes, head housekeeper; Jordan Carrington, maintenance manager; Paige Mort, administrator, along with Paul Strachan, head chef.

Commenting on the appointments, Sally said: “Deewater Grange is a state-of-the-art care home and, while every design detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, having the right people working in the home is crucial to the overall experience of residents.”

Shawn Creswell, lifestyle coordinator, is excited to be part of a team that has created a care home from scratch. Bringing a wealth of service excellence to the role from his previous experience working in five-star resorts, Shawn commented: “I am excited to be joining a forward-thinking, growing care provider and to be helping Sally to deliver person-centred care that supports every resident and their family members.”

Tracey Chrimes, head housekeeper, said: “I’m enjoying working within a person-centric care home environment, which is enabling me to build closer relationships with residents. Knowing I’ve made a difference to an individual’s day, whether that be a resident at Deewater Grange or a friend or family member, I am proud to add value. I believe my wealth of experience, particularly as head of hospitality in the care sector, will help me fulfil my role to an excellent standard.”

Donna Brown, customer relations manager, added: “It’s a privilege to be a part of the Deewater Grange story right from the beginning. Creating bonds with residents and their families already is incredibly rewarding and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Sally added, “I know I am speaking on behalf of myself, Shawn, Tracey, Jordan, Paige, Donna and Paul when I say we are proud of the welcoming and friendly environment which is already taking shape here at Deewater Grange.”

Deewater Grange has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, and will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building is configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
