A care home in Hailsham is inviting the local community to a free advice-led event designed to provide support for those considering their loved one’s future care.
On Wednesday 29th January, from 2.30pm-4.30pm, the Care UK team at Bowes House, on Battle Road, will open the home’s doors for the free ‘planning care for the future’ event.
Independent specialists, Laura Mitchell from Hart Reade Solicitors and Kieron Robertson, will be on hand to offer professional advice and guidance about the importance of Lasting Power of Attorney and Wills, as well as funding long-term care for a loved one – whether it’s in their own home or in a care home.
During the event, those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Bowes House and take a closer look at the care home.
Helena Barrow, home manager at Bowes House, said: “We hope all those considering the future care of a loved one will take the opportunity to benefit from the expert’s knowledge, as the advice and guidance provided at this event has always been very well received.
“We know that planning future care can bring up a lot of questions, so we are delighted to welcome two local professionals to the event, who are experts in their field and can provide practical advice and support.”
Bowes House is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has it very own cinema and hair salon, and there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, for relaxation and recreation. The home has a comprehensive activity programme, offering a mix of themed events, group activities and days out.
