People of Chester invited to take first look at new multi-million pound care home

A new care home in Huntington is inviting the local community to celebrate its completion with an exclusive first look inside the purpose-built facilities.

Deewater Grange, on Chester Road, is opening its doors from Friday 31^st January to Sunday 2^nd February to give local people the opportunity to take a closer look at the brand-new care home before it welcomes the first residents from Monday 3^rd February.

Between 10am-4pm, members of the public can drop in to take a tour around the completed care home, which will provide care for up to 58 older people. There will also be an opportunity to meet the team at Deewater Grange, including home manager, Sally Cooper, and customer relations manager, Donna Brown.

Sally said: “The team at Deewater Grange is looking forward to welcoming the first residents to the home. We are really proud of the environment that has been created, and every last detail here has been considered to create a high-quality, luxury care home which will enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.

“The open days will give visitors the chance to see the care home for themselves and to talk to the team, while also getting an insight into what day-to-day life will be like at Deewater Grange. They can also find out more about the kind of activities that will be on offer.”

Following the first residents moving into the new care home in February, a grand launch will be hosted on Thursday 26^th March, which will see the winners of Care UK’s local heroes competition announced.

Local people only have until Friday 31^st January to nominate a ‘local hero’, by visiting careuk.com/care-homes/deewatergrange /local-heroes and explaining in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.

The new care home, which will provide residential, dementia and nursing care, features 58 ensuite bedrooms, and has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and will include its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
