Whitstable care home celebrates national award win

The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 120 care homes nationwide across Care UK.

Harrier Lodge, on Thanet Way, scooped the Sales and Marketing award, one of 20 accolades handed out during the event.

The panel of judges praised the home team for delivering exceptional customer service. The team was commended for its excellent reputation within the community as a result of the extensive links it has built. The team always finds ways for residents and the local community to come together for a good cause and have built strong ties with local schools, churches, charities and businesses to take part in activities and fundraising together.

Diane Collings, home manager at Harrier Lodge, said: “We are over the moon to have won this award. The ceremony was a truly inspirational evening and it was fantastic to be recognised for all the hard work the team puts in to making the home a wonderful and fulfilling place to live.

“The team has built wonderful relationships in the local community which greatly benefit both residents and local people. The award will now take pride of place at the home!”

Harrier Lodge is a purpose-built care home which has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 65 older people in Whitstable, and incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities, including its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
