Christmas celebrations in full swing at local care ho-ho-home

A care home in Bromsgrove is kicking off its Christmas festivities by inviting the local community to a Christmas Fair.

On Saturday 7^th December from 10.30am-12.30pm, the Care UK team at Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, will be hosting a morning of festive fun for residents, friends, families and neighbours.

Visitors will be able to start their Christmas shopping at a number of stalls and enjoy festive treats, including mince pies, mulled wine and home-made cakes. Visitors will also be able to try their luck in a Christmas raffle, and enjoy therapy and relaxation treatments provided by Zenergie Therapies.

Jo Gill, home manager at Chandler Court, said: “We are excited to be opening our doors once again and inviting the community to join us at this very special time of year. As well as providing a great chance for some seasonal fun, our Christmas Fair also gives us an opportunity to prompt happy memories of Christmas for residents, which is especially important for those living with dementia. Reminiscence activities like this are perfect for getting conversations going and sharing memories, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to enjoy some festive fun.

“The morning is set to be enjoyable for all ages. Christmas music will be playing, our in-home chef will be showcasing seasonal food and drink, and there will be a market selling handmade gifts and decorations. We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of people to the home for what promises to be an exciting morning of festive celebrations.”
