New leadership team takes the helm at Bristol care home

Home news

New leadership team takes the helm at Bristol care homeA new care home in Bristol has appointed several members of the local community to make up its senior team ahead of its opening this winter.

Pamela Arnsmeyer, home manager at the new Trymview Hall care home on Southmead Road, has recruited a senior team with a wealth of experience. This includes Deborah Pinches, deputy manager; Chelsea-Lee Cook, head housekeeper; along with Darren Nelson, head chef.

Commenting on the appointments, Pam said: “Trymview Hall is a state-of-the-art care home and, while every design detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, having the right people working in the home is crucial to the overall experience of residents.”

Deborah Pinches, deputy home manager, is excited to be part of the team that’s creating a care home from scratch. Bringing professional excellence to the role in the shape of a BSc Honours in Mental Health Nursing, along with recognition from the Return to Practice Nurse Awards, Deborah comments: “I am excited to be joining a forward-thinking, growing care provider and to be supporting Pam to deliver person-centred care that is appreciated first-hand by every resident and family member.”

Chelsea-Lee Cook, head housekeeper said: “My previous experience within the care sector was at Chepstow Community Hospital. I’m now passionately looking forward to working within a much more personal care home environment, enabling me to build closer relationships with residents. Knowing I’ve made a difference to an individual’s day, whether that be a resident at Trymview Hall or a friend or family member, is how I know I’ll be adding value.”

Darren Nelson, head chef, has been working in a senior chef role for over 10 years, most recently as executive chef for the British Royal Legion. Hospitality award-winning and Rosette-achieving, he is looking forward to applying his culinary experience to give residents at Trymview Hall an excellent daily dining experience.

Pam adds, “I know I am speaking on behalf of myself, Deborah, Darren and Chelsea-Lee, when I say we are looking forward to taking on an exciting new challenge here in Southmead and to welcoming residents to the home in the near future.”

Trymview Hall has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The brand new, state-of-the-art 66-bed care home will provide full time residential and nursing care and short-term respite care, delivered in luxury hotel-style surroundings. The care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities and includes its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
