How to live well with dementia – Carpathia Grange care home to host free dementia advice event

A care home in Hythe is inviting the local community to a free event for people caring for those living with dementia.

On Thursday 24th October, from 2pm-3.30pm and 5.30pm-7pm, the Care UK team at Carpathia Grange, on Southampton Road, will host its ‘Living well with dementia’ event at Didben Golf Club, where Terry Eccott, volunteer from the Alzheimer’s Society, will be on hand to help local carers find out more about the support available to them.

Terry will be available to chat with visitors informally, and give an overview of what it’s like to live with dementia, share insight, and answer questions to offer practical advice to those who may be caring for someone living with dementia.

After the event there will be a chance to share experiences, as well as the opportunity to meet the friendly care team and find out more about Carpathia Grange before its official opening next month.

This event provides a great opportunity for carers to meet other members of the community who may also be supporting their loved ones.
