A care home in Halstead is inviting the local community to a free event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.
On Tuesday 12th November, from 2pm to 4pm, the Care UK team at Colne View care home, on Dame Mary Walk, on Colchester Road, will open its doors to the community for its free ‘Planning care for the future’ event.
Penny Griffiths, from Eldercare Solutions, and Lorna Bastian, from Aquabridge Law, will be on hand to deliver an informative session to help those caring for a loved one understand the options for funding long-term care, including the benefits they may be entitled to and how to make savings go further.
The experts will offer advice and information on understanding the available options for funding long-term care. They will also offer expert information on legal matters, including wills and power of attorney.
After the event there will be a helpful Q&A session, as well as an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Colne View.
Razvan Stanbeca, home manager at Colne View, said: “Here at Colne View, we understand that providing advice and guidance can be incredibly helpful for anyone considering the future care of a loved one, which is why we are delighted to host this event.
“It is a privilege to be joined by Penny and Lorna, who can provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take this opportunity to benefit from their expertise.”
Colne View delivers a full range of residential care for older people, including short-term respite care, nursing care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
