A care home in St Ives is inviting the local community to a free event offering advice on keeping warm and well throughout the winter months.
On Tuesday 5th November, from 10am–12pm, the Care UK team at Field Lodge care home, on London Road, will open its doors to the community for its free ‘Winter wellness’ event.
Representatives from Age UK will be on hand to deliver an informative session on keeping warm and in good health throughout the winter months.
The experts will offer advice and information on eating well and maintaining energy levels, ensuring your home is winter ready and coping with extreme weather, as well as offering advice and help on heating costs.
After the event there will be a helpful Q&A session, as well as an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Field Lodge.
Linda Martinez, home manager at Field Lodge said: “Here at Field Lodge, we understand that keeping well throughout the winter months is extremely important, which is why we are delighted to host this event.
“As we get older, our bodies have to work harder to keep us warm, so it is wonderful to be joined by representatives from Age UK who can provide professional guidance in this area. We hope local people will come along and take the opportunity to benefit from their expertise.”
