The team at Prince George House are inviting the people of Ipswich to join them for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 27 September, to raise vital dough-nations for Macmillan Cancer Support.
From 10am-12pm, Care UK’s Prince George House, on Mansbrook Boulevard, is asking the community to join residents for a morning of coffee, cake and catch-ups to help raise money for the millions of people in the UK currently living with cancer.
Guests will enjoy a relaxing morning sharing a cuppa with residents, along with a tempting selection of homemade cakes and treats - all of which will be available for a small donation to Macmillan.
Every year Macmillan organises the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in kitchens, offices and village halls across the globe to fundraise for people living with cancer. Since the very first coffee morning in 1990 over £200million has been raised for the charity, enabling it to support individuals from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
Jennie Rodger, home manager at Prince George House says: “We love to welcome the local community in for fun events, and Macmillan Coffee Morning is always a big hit with the residents and local people alike!
“It makes it even more special knowing we are raising vital funds for such a worthy cause as Macmillan Cancer Support. One in two of us will face cancer, and the money we raise will help everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can. We invite everyone to come along for a delicious slice of cake and a wonderful morning of community fun!”
