Time to bounce and rhyme at Cavell Court event

Cavell Court was joined by a local mother and toddler group for a fun-filled day of playing, chatting and singing. 

The team at Cavell Court welcomed local toddler group, ‘Bounce and Rhyme’, to sing nursery rhymes and enjoy a picnic with residents in the home’s garden. 

Festivities included a performance from children’s entertainer, Charlie Cheesecake, who created impressive balloon models for residents and guests. 

Visitors were also given the chance to meet some new four-legged friends, including donkeys, alpacas, and ferrets, and those feeling brave could get up close and hold a snake, that had been brought along by Scratby Donkeys to join in the fun. 

Jennie Rodger, home manager at Cavell Court, said: “Here at Cavell Court, forming intergenerational relationships with the local community is extremely important, so it was fantastic to be able to welcome the ‘Bounce and Rhyme’ children and parents to come along for an afternoon of singing. 

“Everyone had a wonderful day, and it was a real treat to have Charlie Cheesecake here to keep everyone smiling and the special visitors from Scratby Donkeys. It certainly made the event one to remember!”
