On Thursday 12th September, from 2pm-4pm, Care UK’s Ferndown Manor, on Golf Links Road, will welcome James Clear, hotel services manager for Care UK, to lead the free event on the importance of staying hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet for older people.

The session will also allow guests to find out more about Care UK’s approach to dining with dignity, which will include information on how to accommodate different diets such as those with difficulty swallowing.
Janet Lewis, home manager at Ferndown Manor, said: “Here at Ferndown Manor, providing healthy, nutritious and well balanced meals for older people is of paramount importance. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for different dietary requirements and needs, as well as ensuring that residents are still able to enjoy their favourite dishes.
“The aim of this free event is to provide the people of Dorset with support and the opportunity to find out more about the importance of balanced eating in later life.”
