On Friday 23rd August, from 1pm-3pm, local people can drop into Murrayside for an afternoon of family-friendly activities.
On the day, residents and visitors will be treated to a delicious barbecue, specially prepared by Murrayside’s chefs, along with live entertainment from local personality, Danny Feelgood. Guests will also be able to browse a range of stalls, as well as try their luck at the tombola.
There will be a raffle in aid of Alzheimer Scotland, with an array of prizes to be won. To top off the day, there will also be a special visit from the police and fire service.
Michelle Reid, home manager at Murrayside, said: “The preparations for the summer fete are well underway and we are all looking forward to welcoming the local community to Murrayside. Building strong relationships with the people of Edinburgh is something we feel passionate about, and we’re thrilled to have the police and fire service joining us.
“Hosting a summer fete also provides us with the perfect opportunity to say thank you to the local community for their support since we opened our doors last June. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for a day of family-friendly fun to show them what life at Murrayside is like.”
