On Thursday 13th June, from 2pm - 4pm, the team at Buchanan Court will open the doors of the care home for a free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Barry Cappock, a Stroke Association representative, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones. Barry will also discuss the key signs that can help identify a stroke or a mini stroke, as well as the different stages of recovery.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Buchanan Court and take a tour of the care home.
Buchanan Court home manager, Ruth Halls, said: “At Buchanan Court we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite Barry to the home to host our Stroke Awareness event.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the people of Harrow for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
