Home manager, Ray Arnold, will lead the team at Carpathia Grange when it opens in autumn 2019, having spent over 12 years working in a number of roles across the care sector, including residential, nursing, and dementia care.
In addition to his variety of qualifications in adult care, Ray was previously home manager at Pear Tree Court, so he is well-equipped to take onthe day-to-day running of Carpathia Grange, which will accommodate up to 62 residents.
Ray prides himself on setting high standards and being a good listener, and understands the importance of training. As such, he believes the key to providing the best possible care is to ensure team members feel supported and empowered in their roles.
Commenting on his new position, Ray said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the home manager at Carpathia Grange, and I look forward to leading a skilled and supportive team when we open the doors later this year.
“To be a successful home manager you need to be an excellent communicator, respectful, kind, and always willing to learn. I am excited to get to know and spend time with the residents and find out what they enjoy, and how they would like the home to be run to ensure it’s a place they love to live. I can’t wait to start a new chapter here in Hythe.”
Ray will have the support of Nikki Toomer, who will take on the role of customer relations manager at the home. Nikki’s qualifications include a diploma in adult nursing, and she has previously worked in a variety of roles within the care sector. She enjoys spending time with residents and is committed to enabling them to create memories in their new home.
Speaking about her role, Nikki said: “I am delighted to join Care UK and to have the opportunity to be a part of a new team here in Hythe. Most of all, I am looking forward to meeting new families and residents and making them feel at home.”
