On Tuesday 11th June, from 2.30pm - 4.30pm, the team at Lennox House will welcome Amy Lomax and Daniel Alecdo, community dieticians from Whittington Health NHS Trust, to lead the free event.
Amy and Daniel will share their knowledge and provide practical advice on healthy eating and hydration for older people. They’ll also give top tips for stimulating appetite and discuss examples of how menus can be adapted to suit special dietary needs – for people living with dementia, for example.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Lennox House and take a tour of the care home.
Sibusisiwe Moyo, home manager at Lennox House said: “We understand the importance of providing tasty, nutritious and well-balanced seasonal menus for older people. We pride ourselves on supporting individuals to dine with dignity, and we are passionate about catering for different dietary requirements and appetites as well as helping residents to continue to enjoy their favourite dishes.
“By hosting this free event, we can provide the people of Islington with expert advice, inspiration and the opportunity to find out more about the importance of healthy eating in later life.”
