On Tuesday 21st May, from 2.30pm - 4.30pm the team at Snowdrop House will open its doors for its ‘Living well with dementia’ event, where representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society and representatives from local care services will be on hand to help local carers find out more about the support available to them locally.
The representatives will be available to chat with visitors informally, and give an overview of what it’s like to live with dementia, share insight, and answer questions to offer practical advice to those who may be caring for someone living with dementia.
Alongside local care representatives, Carl George, quality development manager at Care UK, will provide information and advice to those caring for a loved one. There will also be an opportunity to meet the friendly team and take a tour of Snowdrop House.
Clare Crow, home manager at Snowdrop House, said: “We strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those looking after someone living with dementia. This event provides a great opportunity for carers to meet other members of the community who may also be supporting their loved ones.
“We are delighted to be hosting the ‘Living well with dementia’ event, and we look forward to welcoming the local community through our doors for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring day of information and guidance.”
