Clare Crow will lead the team at Snowdrop House, having worked in the sector for over 20 years. Clare will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the care home, which can accommodate up to 70 residents.
After qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in Cambridge, and specialising in respiratory and end of life care, Clare has undertaken a variety of roles across the country. She has worked in the prison service, as a Continuing Health Care case manager for the East of England, and across a wide range of hospitals and care homes.
Clare is moving from Care UK’s Mountfitchet House, where she has been the clinical deputy manager for five years.
Commenting on her new position, Clare said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager at Snowdrop House, and I look forward to working alongside the skilled and passionate team to position Snowdrop House as a beacon of excellent care in Ware.
“I strongly believe that residents are the focus of the home and at the centre of everything we do – Snowdrop House is their home and the Care UK team are guests within it. I will be leading by example to ensure residents continue to live active and fulfilled lives in a peaceful and inspiring environment, and I look forward to getting to know them and their families.
“My favourite part of the working day is supporting and motivating the team to ensure residents remain the focus of each and every day, so we can create special moments of laughter and joy together. As part of my new role, I hope to build on the team’s excellent record of care to ensure that the support we offer here at Snowdrop House is personalised to each individual who currently lives here, and for those who will begin their journey into care with us.”
