Ferndown Manor nominated for TWO national awards

Ferndown Manor is celebrating having been nominated in the ‘Best New Care Home’ and ‘Best for Nutrition, Food and Dining Experience’ categories in a national care award. 

The Care Home Awards recognise and reward excellence and innovation for UK care home management, operation and delivery. 

Ferndown Manor is a finalist in the ‘Best New Care Home’ and ‘Best for Nutrition, Food and Dining Experience’ categories thanks to its monthly ‘Come Dine with Us’ initiative and its fresh vision for what it means to live in a care home. The leadership team is made up of people who prioritise a caring nature and can-do attitude, and who offer a refreshing take on how a home should be run.

The residents of Ferndown Manor play an active role in their local community, including looking out for individuals who are less fortunate than themselves. Once a month the home runs a film club for a group of older people in the community.

Alongside the film club, the care team at Ferndown Manor also host a monthly ‘Come Dine with Us’ initiative, whereby older people from the local community are invited to the home for lunch and an afternoon of activities and entertainment.
