On Tuesday 9th April, from 2.30pm - 4pm the team at Field Lodge will open the home’s doors for its ‘Living well with dementia’ event, where experts will give professional advice and support.
Dementia Champion Keri Barker and home manager Linda Martinez will deliver the session to help individuals understand what dementia is and what it is like to live with dementia. The event also aims to provide practical advice on nutrition, and how using music can have a positive impact when caring for a loved one living with dementia.
There will also be a Q&A session to ensure attendees get the most out of the session, alongside an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Field Lodge.
Linda Martinez, home manager at Field Lodge, said: “We strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those looking after someone living with dementia. This event provides a great opportunity for carers to meet other members of the community who may also be supporting their loved ones.
“We are delighted to be hosting the ‘Living well with dementia’ event, and we look forward to welcoming the local community through our doors for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring day of information and guidance.”
