Roll up, roll up – Pear Tree Court celebrates milestone with circus extravaganza

Pear Tree Court is inviting the local community to step right up for its circus-themed first birthday bash.

Roll up, roll up – Pear Tree Court celebrates milestone with circus extravaganza

On Saturday 23rd February, from 2pm - 4pm, Pear Tree Court will open its doors to mark the special milestone.

Guests and residents will be treated to a magical day, with performances from jugglers, fire-eaters, snake charmers, dancers, as well as a magician, and a psychic will be on hand to tell everyone’s fortune.

Younger visitors will have the opportunity to master their balloon modelling skills at a special workshop.

There will also be live music from Wannabe Entertainment to get everyone in the party spirit, and delicious canapés, specially prepared by Pear Tree Court’s chefs.

The winners of the recent ‘Hampshire Heroes’ competition, launched to mark the home’s first anniversary, will also be announced at the event.

Home manager at Pear Tree Court, Ray Arnold, said: “Both residents and team members are really excited to welcome the local community into the home to celebrate our first birthday.

“It has been a memorable year for Pear Tree Court. We’ve knitted poppies for Remembrance Day, participated in National Poetry Day, had our binoculars at the ready for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch and even taken part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“We are very proud of the strong relationships we’ve developed with the people of Horndean, and this event is a great opportunity to invite everyone to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day full of family fun.”
