On Thursday 14th February, from 2pm to 4pm, the team at Cavell Court, on Dragonfly Lane, are opening the doors to the care home for a tea dance to mark the season of love.
Visitors are invited to a fun-filled afternoon of dancing at the 1960s themed event. Residents and guests will be treated to a special live performance by local singer, Ben Lake, to get everyone in the party spirit – singing and dancing along to their favourite hits.
Jennie Rodger, home manager at Cavell Court, said: “At undoubtedly the most romantic time of the year, we wanted to bring Cringleford’s sweethearts together to share the love with an afternoon of singing and dancing. This event was a huge success last year, and it’s a pleasure to be able to invite friends and family back again to truly get into the spirit of Valentine’s Day by spending it with the people we love.
“Here at Cavell Court, activity based care is at the heart of everything we do. We regularly hold dancing sessions as this is a favourite pastime for many of the residents, so we encourage them to reminisce, sharing their favourite songs, and showing us their best dance moves! We’re really looking forward to our Valentine’s tea dance, and can’t wait to get our feet tapping to some live music with the local community.”
