From 2pm - 4pm, the team at Ferndown Manor will open the doors to the care home to mark the special milestone.
To get everyone in the party spirit, there will be live entertainment from The Hyde brass band, as well as a tombola stall and a delicious high tea, specially prepared by Ferndown Manor’s chefs. During all the celebrations, Ferndown Manor will be raising funds for Marie Curie’s daffodil appeal.
In preparation for the event, residents have been creating spring-themed paintings and a spring flower display, which will be exhibited during the party for guests to enjoy.
Janet Lewis, home manager at Ferndown Manor said: “Residents and team members alike are really excited to welcome the local community into the home to celebrate our second birthday.
“It has been a memorable year for Ferndown Manor. We’ve invited experts to give in-depth talks on birdwatching, participated in World Poetry Day, celebrated the royal wedding with the community and taken part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“We are very proud of the strong relationships we’ve developed with the people of Ferndown, and this event is a great opportunity to invite everyone to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day full of family fun.”
