Catherine Court celebrates national award win

Catherine Court is celebrating after it was recognised at a national awards ceremony. 

The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 100 care homes nationwide across Care UK’s RCS division.

Susan Jocelyn, team member at Catherine Court, on Cressex Road, walked away with the Carer of the Year award, one of 22 accolades handed out during the event.

The panel of judges praised Susan for her reliability, in-depth knowledge and attentiveness to each resident. However, it was Susan’s calm manner and compassionate attitude which judges felt set her apart from competitors in the category.

Yvonne Keating,home manager at Catherine Court, said: “The RCS award ceremony was a truly inspirational evening – it was brilliant to hear about the dedication of team members, as well as the positive impact this has had on residents, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives. 

“Susan has an abundance of empathy, kindness, and love, and always tries to make a difference to residents’ lives. Her attitude really puts residents and their families at ease.

“I would like to thank Susan and the rest of the team for all their hard work in making Catherine Court a wonderful place to live for all residents – every single person is such a valuable part of the team and I really appreciate their commitment to the home.”
